10 REMINDERS TO TREAT OURSELVES WITH CARE
As move through life we learn important lessons, complete critical milestones and achieve lifelong goals. We also make mistakes, say the wrong things, go when we should stop, stop when we should go, take things the wrong way, hide, cry, and shut down. Through it all, including the good, bad and ugly, are we able to be loving with ourselves? Do we remember to be kind to ourselves? I sometimes find myself beating myself up when I feel that I’ve done something wrong or haven’t met some idealized version of perfection. I overanalyze my mistakes and replay situations in my head with what could’ve, would’ve or should’ve happened. In those moments, I am thankful to have loved ones to remind me to be gentle with my spirit. Below are other reminders for us to treat ourselves with care.
Don’t let your inner critic be the enemy of your purpose.
Mistakes are the friends of progress, if you allow them to be.
The next breath you take has the power to change your perspective for the better.
You are the producer, writer, director and actor within your own experience. If something isn’t working, write a new line, change the location, or create something new.
Laugh, hug yourself, sing your power, and dance out loud.
Allow your faith to overcome doubts, which are rooted in fear.
Speak light onto yourself. In other words, allow yourself to speak lovingly about YOU. If you are smart, brave, funny, creative, curious, etc. then say so with compassion.
Don’t minimize your dreams and desires.
Treat yourself how you want others to treat you.
Express gratitude.
In kindness,
